To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the electricity grid with widespread distributed generation, grid operators must have situational awareness at short time scales and interpret large measurement datasets. This project will quantify data quality from power grid sensor networks and develop models and a framework to test and validate candidate data analysis methods. The developed framework will be demonstrated using multiple data analysis methods involving five different grid phenomena. Well documented, publicly available, test datasets will be created using real and simulated grid measurements and will be disseminated to measurement supply chains, standards developing organisations, and end users across Europe.
